June and so much to do!!!

First off I have had alot of questions regarding my Kegger that disappeared.... He is back!!!! Four weeks to the day and he appears. I was in Missouri visiting my son, Shane. My daughter takes care of my cats when we go out of town. She comes normaly once a day but for some reason she decided to come twice that day and once being late at night. She pulled up to the house and there he was curled up on our driveway!!! She said she was shaking she could hardly believe he was home. He ran to the back fence and she finally got him to come to her. Lets just say... he was thin!!! He ate like no other and hasn't stopped since he got back!!! I cried when she called me to tell me the news... So, so happy he is home!!! On another note... I have been plugging away at just creating dolls and jewelry.... Planning a baby shower for my daughter, which I am so excited for!!! Aren't these the cutest invitations I made?!! Tickled with the way they turned out... Going with a western/cowboy theme. I have two other friends of Laresa's helping with the planning so will make it less stressful for me I hope. Photos after the special day I promise!! Create, create in all my other spare time.... My crappy life...

I am simply miserable!! I know we all get a attached to things in life but this is taking over my whole being!! My cat Kegger somehow got out of the house on sunday night...He is an indoor cat never been outside. I haven't seen him since... I am just sick!! I can't eat and it has consumed all my thinking and thoughts. We have put out fliers,,, we have contacted the animal shelter, the veterinary offices, in turn they have put it out on Facebook. We have had it on the radio and I have countless times gone out and looked and called for him. To no avail anywhere. Just sick!!! I wanna have hope that he is in someone's garage safe but then there's that nagging feeling of negativity that comes into play. He is allergic to fleas and loses his hair... He has a thin coat of fur anyways and he is probably so cold... and to top it off as much as I love rain I want it to STOP!!! NOW!!! Sad... sad.... sad...

MY FOB!!!!

Oh my it's been awhile since I have posted and this whole thing has changed to post!! Recently I participated in a FOB swap on the Prim and Rustic board....... Yeah my first thought was... What the hell is a FOB??? Never heard of one in my life but I am so happy I know now!!! Primme ( Terri ) graced me with this beautiful FOB and oh my the scissors with it... I could've came out of my chair I was so happy!!!

Not only did I get a wonderful surprise and gift in the mail but I made a new friend... and in this life those are cherished. I'd swap again anytime Terri!!! Now... what have I been doing with all my time lately??? I wish I could seriously figure it out... I have way too many projects I am working on at the same time... And way too many I wanna try just itching for me to just do!! I hate it... I need more arms and more hours in a day!! My latest necklace..

Love making them but... will anyone else ever like them as much as me?? So I keep plugging along... I may have a jewelry store here before long on my table!! The weather here in Coos Bay has finally turned absolutely gorgeous!!! The sun is shining and its 54 degrees!!! Seriously this makes me smile and I am a rain lover!! Will try to take some pictures later today of the yardwork recently finished... Loads of bark mulch and it's so pretty again!!! Until then....

On another note...Yesterday was a productive day for me... working on Christmas items and an order for a dear friend. Today will be much of the same... It's very very wet outside and I plan to not go anywhere!!!

I said I'd be back today with news and I am!!!

It's a BOY!!! No doubts this time it was right there in plain sight!! This grandma can start buying clothes!!! I need a job!!!

Ya ever have??

Ya ever have one of those days you just wish you could crawl back in your bed and just sleep through it all?? I have been having so many days like that it isn't funny!!! I can feel depression setting in since my son left. I know I have things to be happy about... going to see Shane in May, baby on the way etc but.....there are other things in life going on that seem to outweigh the good. For the life of me I can't seem to sell anything anymore. Really makes me wonder is creating even worth it? I feel I have been black balled from joining certain groups due to an ex sister in law that only spewed venom at my name.... I just feel like I'm spinning my wheels and just can't grab ahold of the surface to find my way. Sad thing is I know I am better than this!! So someone kick me and make me realize IT IS WORTH IT!!!

Speaking of baby.

Today my daughter has her big ultrasound at the hospital.... Hope that 80% chance the doctor gave turns in to 100% sure it's a boy!!! I haven't bought anything yet,,, just holding out for the word we know what it is...but boy when I know look out stores!!! Updates today!!!

Another wintery day on the Oregon coast... RAIN!!! Oh don't get me wrong I am not complaining,,, I LOVE IT!!! It's days like this I wanna create, just wish I knew which thing I wanted to put my heart and soul into today. Seems lately I wanna do everything!! There isn't a set goal I'm kinda doing a little of this and a little of that and not getting much done. Gotta change this!!!
My passion for chunky interesting jewelry has consumed my evening while watching tv... Here are a few I have been working on...

This was made for a special person and I won't say whom cuz she may read this before her birthday!! Needless to say.... I do love this piece.

Time consuming but so enjoyable to make. The latter piece is mine. Not sure I am finished with it yet as I think it may need pearls or black glass beads.... Two old rhinestone necklaces were in my jewelry box that belonged to my ex-husbands mom before she passed away. They have been in my possession for many years and well my love for the old rhinestones and anything that sparkles and whalah!!! I have something for myself!!! Now I am on the hunt for old jewelry pieces, broken etc I will figure a way to use them!!! Gotta find them cheap though cuz this can be one expensive hobby!!! Maybe I had better make some to sell and recoup some costs!!!
So with that said... I need to get busy!!!!

Because I needed another hobby?

Wow so much has happened since I last wrote!!! Been to the Big Island, and my son and his wife came home!!! 2 1/2 years ago he was home!!!

Had a nice visit but much too short!!! We also went snowmobiling while he was home on leave... BURR ASS cold is all I can say!!! My parents drove up for a short visit while Shane was home and before you know it everyone was gone.... My home was quiet, empty and the tears flowed. I know, nothing to cry about but there is something about a Son, that only a mom of a Son can understand. I miss him, flat out miss him!!! And yes I will see him soon... May!!!
So... to my blog title!!! Let me see, I make dolls, I cross stitch, I make wooden name blocks, I scrapbook and make cards... I, I, I,.... and I needed another HOBBY??? Well Yes I did!!! I have a love for vintage, or quirky chunky jewelry.... just something about it makes me drool!! I just wanted to see if I could do it.... So you tell me.... How is my first project?? Go ahead.. you can tell me if it's ugly, you won't hurt my feelings!! :)

I'm hooked on making stuff!!!
Today is one of those days I'm going to try and make something for a gift, work on a bunny and heck who knows what else!!! Enjoy yours!!!

What a day what a day!!! No reason why I just said that other than it's been another quick day zipping by me! Not just a day but dang the whole weekend came and went in the blink of an eye. Superbowl over and done with!!! YES!!! And the right team won!!! Heck I really could've cared less regardless... MY team was not in it so it really didn't matter. Now onto NASCAR!!!

So... slowly today I started with a thought and then a little action into making something to go over my bed. I want something handmade and different. So I looked at this blank white canvas.... hmmmm what can I do with it? Thoughts were running through my head.. some too big for my doing myself so off to JoAnns fabrics for a sage colored blue paint to match my bedspread. LOL do you really think they make such a color??? Of course they don't!!! So lets mix these two together and see what we come up with...

THE PERFECT color!!!!! If I don't say so myself.... So went to painting that white canvas board... So it lays here drying.... And now what? Off to my Silhouette...So many ideas to choose from.... Stay tuned for the finished project....I'm thinking after all is said and done I need to visit the thrift store and see if it's possible to get an old frame to go around it....

Now onto what I really should be doing!!!  Packing!!  I have tomorrow to pack my suitcase for Kona..... Yes Sun, Sand and Drinks... I am so ready to be there!! Until tomorrow!!!

Friday!!!

Wow another day.... So much to do so little time and where the hell did my day go?? Physical Therapy first thing in the morning just throws me for a loop all day...and then of course it's the first weekend of the month and what did I do?? WENT TO WALLY WORLD!!! OH my what a error!!! Glad I made it home without sharing my outloud voice too much...

I have been really disappointed in ebay sales so have thrown my hat in at Etsy.... easy to list so I love that feature so far. I have met some wonderful online people so....so far so good. I listed an angel today on ebay as other things were coming off NOT sold...

Who knows how she will do but what the heck I keep plugging along! Etsy also was updated today with items that didn't sell on ebay.
I have so many more things to get listed on there that have been sitting here....so tomorrow is going to be one busy day!!!

Where has the time gone now???

Wow.. January came and went !!!  Things have been hectic.... Medically I have had shoulder/neck issues which has taken my heart away from doing anything productive.  BUT I vow to change that!!!  I have been in physical therapy for weeks and as of last night I have to say I felt pretty good.  I even washed my car today!!!  Miracles do happen!!!

In my personal life those that have followed might like to know a few things...... 1. My daughter Laresa got married, and is now pregnant with my first grandchild!!! Yes Im going to finally be a grandma!!!  Due date is Aug. 16th... Will it ever get here???  So she is just ending her first trimester and doing well.  Praying for a healthy baby and moms health holding up.  2.  My son Shane married a longtime friend... Miranda. 

They both live in Missouri while Shane is in the Air Force. So proud of both my children!!
Many things have happened in my life this year but it would take me all day to catch up. Sooooo..... here goes a new start.... daily/weekly blog updates??? I'm going to make an effort!!!

Another day....

Seriously its late September already?? I can hardly believe Christmas is around the corner... SO MUCH to do!!! Working on a few things all at once and they all seem to pull me in different directions. Finally the wedding is over for my step daughter so now maybe my focus can be on a special order I have and my Santas and such.

A few days ago I thought I needed a wreath on my front door.... Made one just to see what it would turn out like. Well I liked it!!! BUT wouldnt you know the base was on clearance and of course Wal Mart had sold out of all of them!! So onto JoAnns fabrics... with my 40% off coupon I found one that would work.... Here is my finished project...

So after all that I decided why not punish myself some more.... I mean heck I don't have orders due right?? What am I thinking?? So back to the store... The fall wreath I made for my daughter and the Boo wreath I made for my daughter in law...

WHOO HOO..!!!! I'm done and off to sew now!!!

Sunday morning...

What a wonderful Sunday morning.... A whopping 59 degrees!! I love it! There is no sun this morning which is pretty normal. The heat in the valley sucks the fog bank into our coastal town til about noon and returns about 6pm. I hear so many stories about weather, no rain, extreme heat etc. I get up and its calm, cool and green.... It truly for me is "Gods Country" I am truly blessed and hope that today is a Great Day!!

Life's a Yawn....

Exactly how I feel today!! What a crappy night!! This pic is of my dear and closest feline... she follows me everywhere, she sleeps all day and lives the life of a Queen.... Yet why oh why does she find it necessary during the night to wake me up continuously?? Seriously do you need attention all night too?? Needless to say I will be the one yawning today due to lack of sleep last night!! Thanks Brandy!!!

On a good note I hope.... I finally set up a selling blog!!! http://dollgiversattictwo.blogspot.com/ I hope to finally start adding my dolls and things to this. I figure it's worth a try. Yay to me!!

Well it's definetly a pot of coffee today to wake me up.... so onward with my day!!!

Well obviously I did not stand by what I wrote earlier in the year!!  I have not blogged... ME BAD!!!  Oh so much is going on in life it isnt funny..... Divorces, Weddings, loved ones with Cancer and the list goes on and on.  I think it's time to as my grandma would say to " FORGET ON IT"!!! I really feel the worst for my dear mom.  That is one woman that bears so much on her shoulders.  Things just have to get better!!!

Tonight was fantastic on another note!!!  Travis Tritt concert at the Mill Casino!!! HOLY crap he was just as sexy now as he was 10 years ago!! And he can sing like no other!!!  Great night... fifth row back and amazing!!!

So...... Now its about that time to lay my head down.... Can I sleep after watching Travis??? HMMMM sweet dreams tonight!! :)  Going to have a new blog soon to sell items!!!  So obviously I plan to be better at writing more often!!!! Niteee nite!!!

A day...

Well what I promised I didn't do!! LOL like that is a big surprise!!  I promised to update and well..... I failed once again.  I can't say I actually have an excuse but I have enjoyed doing nothing the last month!  So much happens leading up to the holidays that when January comes around it seems I fall apart,,, do nothing and now with a month gone out of 2011 it is time to wake up and get busy. 
Today I will be cleaning my carpets... I have been wanting to do this since my daughter got married in May and well... one more thing I didnt do!! So without further procrastinating I will do them today!!! Onward!!

If all goes well today I will actually post pics of this last years ventures I have not kept up with on here!!! til then....

Another day in Paradise... today's trip was Hana. Took us 5 hours up and back. Going was better than coming back as Steve's driving scared the beejeebees out of me. I tried to read and keep my head down but I ran out of things to read!!! There are only over 600 hairpin turns and 60 something one lane bridges. Who designed this I havent a clue!!! Can only have been a male!!! We stopped at one beach where the waves were actually quite large than the side of the island we are on. Alot of surfers were out..we both enjoyed watching them..just not sure how they avoid permanent injury or death running into each other!Most of the waterfalls on this trip were not flowing... time of year and not alot of rainfall. Still beautiful and green on that side of the island and a pretty change from Lahaina...
So we are back in our condo tonight... finishing off my bottle of wine and relaxing... Tomorrow we catch a flight back to the mainland and home sweet home!!! My cats are missing me!!! LOL

IN Maui!!! For those inquiring minds that want to know where I am!!! I think I need to be home sewing though. We got here on Saturday and I must admit it's very hot this time of year in the 90's and the winds have been horrible!!! The first night we went to Kaanapali and had dinner with Steve's parents, sister and husband.. Steve and I drove up to Mount Haleakala yesterday. 10,020 feet above sea level. We were in clouds and the temperature change about 30 degrees difference. On a clear day I'm sure it would be beautiful looking over the island but we could see nothing but clouds. The top of the crater is nothing pretty to look at but alot of brown lava rock...
So other than the little bit we have done am I having a good time?? NO. Steve and I are the only ones going anywhere. The rest of his family sits all day, watches tv or lays by the pool and reads!!! I can't do it!!! And some of the conversations and actions of certain individuals has been mind boggling!!! Immature and flat our rude. So I sit back... try to get through it,, I mean for heaven sakes I'm in Maui right?? I keep thinking I can be home sewing!!! LOL Steve and I were to be off to Hana today but those plans changed quickly when we had a tsunami warning here in Maui... yeah quite exciting to think about and something I don't want to experience while on a vacation! Luckily that expired and all they got here were larger waves and more frequent of them. SOOOO.... tomorrow Steve and I are off to Hana...NO ONE else is going!!! I want to enjoy it and take pictures along the way...so hopefully tomorrow I have happier news to report!!! Aloha!!
